Hunger Games

  • In this prequel to The Hunger Games, a young Coriolanus (Tom Blyth) is the last hope for the once-proud Snow family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. Snow reluctantly takes an assignment to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the impoverished District 12.

Next Goal Wins

  • Based on a true story, this heartfelt, underdog comedy follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup qualifiers fast approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender), hoping he will turn the world's worst soccer team into winners.

What's Happening?

On The Road Again

Willie Nelson announced the lineup for his 2024 Outlaw Music Festival tour, and he's got some pretty big names joining him on the road this time.

Bob Dylan will be there for all 25 shows.  Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will join for the first leg again . . . John Mellencamp for the second . . . and Billy Strings is in for at least one show in August.

(Here's the announcement.  Other acts include Brittney Spencer, Celisse, and Southern Avenue.)

Presale tickets went on sale yesterday.  The tour runs through 25 cities and over a dozen states between June and September.  It's become one of the bigger summer tours since starting as a standalone event back in 2016.

Lainey or Hannah

As pre-fame jobs go, this one actually sounds fun:  Lainey Wilson spent five years as a Hannah Montana impersonator!

A few years ago at the "Billboard Music Awards" she said, quote, "I learned all fifteen Hannah Montana karaoke tracks.  I would do birthday parties, fairs, festivals, St. Jude . . .you name it.

"Lainey Wilson would open up the show for Hannah Montana.  So yeah, I finally hung the wig up . . . but it made me some money, though I ain't even going to lie."
